Birth*Daniel C. West was born on 26 April 1799, probably in New York, where the family was living, although the 1860 census stated new Jersey.1,6,4,5 
Note*Daniel C. West and Cornelius West were twins.1 
(Witness) WillHe witnessed the will of Curtis Tucker on 19 February 1851 at Ocean Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey.3 
(Witness) WillOn 2 January 1854, Daniel C. West signed an affidavit to the effect that he had witnessed the will of Curtis Tucker.3

Death*He died on 13 March 1876 at age 76. The USGENWEB transcription of the churchyard cemetery, after the Book of the Dead of Monmouth, gives the year as 1875, but his sister Lettitia West Tucker, with whom he lived late in life, gave his death year as 1876 in her family Bible, and it is this year I've used here.5,7 
Burial*He was buried at Shark River, Trap, or Hamilton Churchyard, Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, New Jersey.5
