Marriage*He married Anna May Thebo, daughter of Phillip Charles Thebo and Mary Henrietta Chitty, on 29 June 1952 at Fort Edward, Washington County, New York. Howard married his first wife, Anna H. Richards, on 29 June 1914 in Washington County, NY. She was a teacher, as was our Anna, so they may have met professionally. Anna R. Brown was still alive during the 1942 Draft Registration of older men, when the couple was living at 14 Mechanic St., Hudson Falls.1,2,6,7,8 
Residence*Prior to their deaths within days of each other at the Glen Haven Nursing Home, Howard Portter Brown and Anna May Thebo lived at 15 Mechanic Street, Hudson Falls, Washington County, New York.2

Hudson Falls -
Howard P. Brown, 89, of 15 Mechanic St., died Thursday (May 24, 1973) at Glen Haven Nursing Home, Glens Falls.

Mr. Brown was a 50-year member of the Sandy Hill Lodge 372, Masons, and a memebr of the Congregational Church of Swanton, VT.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Theobo [sic] Brown; two nieces, Mrs. Harris Prior, of Swanton, and Mrs. Walter Waterbury, of Delmar.

Friends may call at the Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main St., from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. James W. Graham, paster of the First Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be in Glens Falls Cemetery.1
