He retired in 1970 as a regional supervisor investigator for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Burlington, Vt., and was employed by the U.S. government for 35 years. Mr. Greenleaf was a member and past master of Adoniram-Highland Lodge 80 F&AM [Free and Accepted Masons] of Lyndhurst. Other memberships included the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Burlington and St. Thomas Espiscopal Church of Lyndhurst. He also served four years in the Navy. Surviving are his wife, Audre Bridgman; a daughter, Carolee Start of Canajoharie, N.Y; two sons, Earl H. Jr. of Malta Ridge, N.Y., and Wayne K. of West End; three brothers, Melvin of Rutherford, King Blake of Carlstadt and Norman Blake of Toms River; a sister, Eloise Marass of Gettysburg, Pa; and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Burk-Konarski Funeral Home, 52 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Burial will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. A Masonic service will be 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.5 |
